Description:

Commercial Property Construction Project Manager Position:

We are looking to hire an experienced construction project manager to join our real estate investment company. The project manager will work closely with our acquisitions, property management, and leasing teams to organize and implement a wide range of capital improvement and property management projects for our growing real estate portfolio of industrial and office properties currently consisting of more than 2 million square feet.

The projects range from full scale property renovations to repair and maintenance and preventive maintenance projects often completed within a 1 to 12 month time line typically using third party sub- contractors. We usually have a number of small to medium size projects running at the same time. Multi-tasking, organization, negotiating, strong communication and attention to detail are essential skills.

The project manager will:

• Implement, organize, execute and improve the company’s construction/project management protocol and process and procedures
• Oversee all project-related elements including scope, design and engineering, bidding, schedules, permits, contracts, inspections, invoice review and approval, insurance certificates, change orders, punch lists, lien waivers etc.
• Monitor current projects and coordinate all construction trades and team members to keep work flow on schedule and on budget , strictly following process and procedures
• Organize meetings with contractors and coordinate access, security and safety handouts and protocol throughout a project
• Drive productivity and efficiency using/suggesting technology and software to simplify process and protocol
• Grow the number of contractors and sub-contractors that are reliable/available for use and routinely evaluate their performance and quality of work
